Welcome to Direct Dietitians (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking and participating in our online consultations, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

 

1. Service Provision

1.1. Direct Dietitians provides private online dietetic consultations via secure video conferencing platforms. 1.2. Our services are provided by registered dietitians who are HCPC-registered and work within their scope of practice. 1.3. Consultations are for informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis by a doctor. 1.4. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if deemed necessary for professional or ethical reasons. 1.5. Only individuals aged 18 years or above will be seen by our team. 

 

2. Client Responsibilities

2.1. Clients must provide accurate and complete health and dietary information to allow for appropriate advice. 2.2. Clients must disclose any medical conditions, medications, or allergies that may impact dietary recommendations. 2.3. It is the client's responsibility to consult their GP or healthcare provider before making significant dietary changes. 2.4. Clients must ensure a stable internet connection for online consultations.

 

3. Booking and Payment

3.1. All consultations must be booked and agreed in advance via the email stated on our website. 3.2. Payment is required at the time of booking for full consultations unless otherwise agreed. 3.3. We accept payments through our website or via bank transfer to our business account. 3.4. Prices are subject to change, but any changes will not affect confirmed bookings.

 

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1. Clients must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. 4.2. Cancellations with insufficient notice may be subject to a full or partial charge. 4.3. No-shows or missed appointments are non-refundable. 4.4. In exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness, technical failures on our part), we may offer to reschedule at no extra cost.

 

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

5.1. We adhere to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and take confidentiality seriously. 5.2. Personal and health data collected during consultations will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing dietetic care. 5.3. We do not share client data with third parties unless required by law or with the client’s explicit consent. 5.4. Clients have the right to access, request correction, or request deletion of their data in accordance with UK GDPR.

 

6. Liability Disclaimer

6.1. While we strive to provide accurate, evidence-based advice, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. 6.2. We are not liable for any adverse effects resulting from the client’s interpretation or implementation of advice given during consultations. 6.3. We are not responsible for technical issues that may arise during online consultations due to internet or software failures outside our control.

 

7. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

7.1. If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us at directdietitians@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the issue. 7.2. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in accordance with UK law.

 

8. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

8.1. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. 8.2. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
